17 “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. 18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.” (John 10:17-18)
The Father loves the Son because He voluntarily died for the sins of the world. When He did this He was obeying the command of Father. Then, by His resurrection, He claimed victory over death. When we obey the Father we are loved by Him (Jno. 14:21). Choose to be a disciple of Jesus and to obey the Father like Jesus did; voluntarily, completely and unselfishly.
